Psalm 34 is a song of praise to God for His faithfulness in delivering His servant David from Achish King of Gath (1 Samuel 21), referred to as Abimelech in the superscription. Here is an excellent sermon on the Psalm.
The original Hebrew Psalm is an acrostic poem where each verse begins with the successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet. In terms of its subject, it can be divided into two parts: it begins with praise (vv1-10) and proceeds to wisdom (vv11-22). Given that natural division and its longer length, we thought we would try setting the Psalm into two parts. Lord willing we will come up with part “b” in the near future.

—My Soul Among Lions
O Magnify the LORD (Psalm 34a)
At ALL times I will bless the LORD
And ever praise Him with my voice
My soul will make its boast in God
The humble hear it and rejoice
I sought the LORD in darkest night
He saved me by His glorious might
O look upon His holy face
And let your gloom be turned to light
O lift Your voices, praise His name
The Mighty God has power to save
O magnify the LORD with me
Let us exalt His name together
O magnify the LORD,
O magnify the LORD with me
O magnify the LORD with me
Let us exalt His name forever
O magnify the LORD,
O magnify the LORD with me
This poor man sought the LORD on high
To save him from his bitter plight
Then God arose with outstretched arm
To save him and to win the fight
The mighty angel of the LORD
Surrounds His saints and bears His sword
O fear the LORD upon His throne
For He will come to save His own
So let us all lift up His name
For God alone has power to save
O magnify the LORD with me
Let us exalt His name together
O magnify the LORD,
O magnify the LORD with me
O magnify the LORD with me
Let us exalt His name forever
O magnify the LORD,
O magnify the LORD with me
O taste and see that God is good
May every blessing come to you
How wonderful! How precious is His grace!
Though lions lack for want of food
The LORD will give you all that’s good
For those who fear His holy name
Every blessing they will claim
O magnify the LORD with me
Let us exalt His name together
O magnify the LORD,
O magnify the LORD with me
O magnify the LORD with me
Let us exalt His name together
O magnify the LORD,
O magnify the LORD with me
O magnify the LORD with me
Let us exalt His name forever
O magnify the LORD,
O magnify the LORD with me
