You only need to read two pieces to understand, first, the defeat of Roy Moore; and second, the Supreme Court’s cake-baking case.
The first piece is by the former Budget Director of the State of Indiana, Attorney Brian Bailey (who BTW is an elder of Clearnote Church, Bloomington). The second is by Robert Oscar Lopez, a Christian prof at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary who was raised Roman Catholic and, like all of us, has repented of his sexual sin. Both essays are contrarian, and both wise. Thank you, Brian and Robert. May God bless and protect you in your work.
Brian’s piece: “Bakers, yes; butchers and candlestick makers, absolutely not.”
Robert’s piece: “Of Cakes and Christian Charity: A Contrarian View.”
