Perhaps by now some of you have noticed the little red button in the column to the right (or at the bottom, if you’re using mobile). Let me explain.
For years I’ve worked hard to serve Christ’s Church through this writing, doing this work largely alone and at my own expense. I’ve not asked anyone to donate money to this work, nor have we ever sold ads.
Beyond the people of Clearnote, there have been a handful of readers who have been generous and supportive. Interestingly, we’ve only had two substantial supporters and both families have been from the UK.
Now things are changing and our needs are changing with them. Warhorn has published Daddy Tried and The Grace of Shame, handling every aspect of the process—from production to marketing, editing, proofreading, typesetting, design, solicitation of reviews and interviews, and on it goes…
Meanwhile, we moved Baylyblog here to Warhorn’s site renaming it Out of Our Minds. As I hope you know, we’ve also launched the first season of a podcast called The World We Made. This show took a great deal of time and elbow grease on the part of others. Now I’m told more of these podcasts are in the works!
You may be surprised to learn book sales don’t count for much revenue. I know, it’s pretty shocking. Nevertheless, it’s true—especially when you give books away for free as we have this past month with The Grace of Shame.
Now, I come to you and ask for your support for this work. You know what the Apostle Paul said, right?
The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him. (Galatians 6:6)

Supporting us for an amount as low as $4 per month goes a long, long way. It’s one cup of your favorite brew at Starbucks or one pound of grass-fed ground beef or four Krispy Kreme donuts each month.
Sure, our work doesn’t go down as easily as a Krispy Kreme, but isn’t that the point? Don’t you need teachers who don’t flatter you? Who fear God and call you to honor His Word, especially at the place where it embarrasses you the most?

One final thing: I spend a good bit of time each week responding to requests for counsel made by pastors, elders, and church members who read our books, listen to our podcasts, and read Baylyblog/Out of Our Minds. So what you see online, listen to in our podcasts, and read in our books leads to other time-consuming work you never hear about or see.
Maybe you are one of the men or women who has benefited from our counsel in this way? This too is the work you will be supporting. Maybe this hidden ministry is something you can rejoice in and support?
